cross it off the list
Creatively I am in a small slump but have a few things that I am working on. I love this knitty pattern http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/PATTflora.html and want it in crochet, so I have worked up a cute little scarf that I am calling Dalia. The center of the flower is the "button" to close the scarf. I already need to make a few for family. They work up super fast and only use one skein of yarn too. This little scarf also hides my double chin, if only I could wear it in the summer time :-)
I have gotten quite a few emails regarding my last post about my frustration with the crochet community. Thanks to those of you who read through my anger and wrote me kind and caring notes. Dealing with an illness is taxing, it wears on my soul. I will stay around, and let the negativity roll off my back. My designing will again be my focus point so expect some more patterns on my site. Most will be free. The business side of me is just not there any more.
I have a few things that I can cross off my list of 100 things that I want to do but dont think it will ever happen list.
1- riding in the front seat of an ambulance at 85 miles an hour
2- getting a private room at a hospital and being happy about it
We were back in the hospital on Monday, it was a really bad day. 17 seizures in 3 hours. How much can a body handle? How much can I handle?
My grandmother who is 90 fell on Monday night and broke her hip. She had surgery today and will be in ICU stepdown for a day. Her hip was repaired and she will be able to move again. I once again was in the hospital today.
until next time...........

I like your scarf better than the knitted version.
Love the scarf...I could use something to hide my chin. ;)
So glad to hear you'll be around. I just love all your stuff! I'm just about finished with my felted ribbon tote (I'm at the handles) and I can't wait to throw it in the washer!
Prayers going up for you and dh. So sorry this is happening to him. :(
Scarf is gorgeous!
My little brother was diagnosed with epilepsy after a head injury as a child. He finally outgrew it but it was such a long hard road. It is no thrill ride for anyone in the family when someone has it. I so empathize with you hun. *hugs*
